Travel Advice Vaccinations
Following a review of our travel advice and vaccination service, we are no longer able to offer appointments for travel advice or travel vaccinations other than those provided for by the NHS. These vaccinations are:
- Hepatitis A
- Typhoid
- Tetanus, Diphtheria and Polio.
Other vaccines for travel purposes for example Hepatitis B, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis and Meningitis are not within the NHS for travel requirements.
All patients who require travel advice or vaccinations will be asked to complete a “pre-travel form” outlining details of their trip. Each person travelling must have a completed a form. Please return your form via email to lscicb-fw.p81006@nhs.net or drop off in the repeat prescription/post box outside the surgery building. One of our practice pharmacists will review these forms and you will be contacted within 7 working days to inform you of what vaccines you need and whether you are able to have these here at the surgery. As outlined above we can only provide NHS vaccines for free. For other Non-NHS vaccinations you will need to contact a private travel clinic; three of which are detailed below for your information.
Please note, we are unable to accommodate “last minute” (less than 4 weeks) travellers. If you have booked a last minute holiday/trip, you will need to seek travel advice and vaccination elsewhere.
