Friends and Family Test

You are invited to participate in the anonymous 'Friends and Family test', either by SMS by texting 9293 to 07800 001234, or through feedback forms available in reception or you can complete the test online. You are also able to share your experiences on the website. We do ask if you have a complaint to initially please put this in writing to our Practice Management team, to allow us to be able to fairly investigate and respond appropriately.


December 2021

93% of patients were either 'extremely likely' or 'likely' to recommend our services. Comments include:

'Friendly, helpful reception staff. Ditto the nurse who administered my treatment. Smooth ,cheerful and professional experience.'

'Exceptional care, the nurses made me feel at ease for my daughter's immunisations - very informative and reassuring.'

'I fainted at my appointment and the phlebotomist I saw was amazing with me. She made sure I was reassured during the whole appointment and called me afterwards to check I got home okay. Thank you to both who helped me I really appreciate it.'

'A disabled parking space was available. The reception staff were pleasant and treated me with dignity. The nurse saw me on time she was pleasant and professional. The new exit door eliminated long distance or special treatment to return to my car.'

November 2021

92% of patients were either 'extremely likely' or 'likely' to recommend our services. Comments include:

'Moved this year from Kent so able to do a comparison of Counties. Excellent service, polite receptionist, Doctors and nurses.'

'The receptionist was efficient and helpful, the nurse was really professional and friendly. I have trouble with blood tests, the nurse was understanding and managed to get blood from me with a little patience and skill.'

'Throughout the pandemic and lockdown Garstang medical practice and pharmacy have looked after me and also my husband.  The receptionist are always most polite and reassuring. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring medical facility.'

October 2021

'I could not speak more highly of this Gp surgery and the staff here. Unfortunately, I would say I am probably one of the more challenging patients and over the last few months I have had appointments both for physical and mental health reasons. The reception team when you ring are always very empathetic and do their best to fit you in with the doctor of your choice or an appointment the same day with whoever is available whether this be over the phone or in person regardless of when you ring in the day. All the doctors have always been very kind, professional and understanding and always explain things thoroughly to me which has helped me enormously and I am very grateful for all their support and care.'

'I have ongoing problems with my asthma which have all been dealt with promptly. The reception staff are all very kind and helpful and I have felt very safe with regard to the Covid precautions. Altogether extremely satisfied.'

The vaccination process was very well done, quick and stress free and it's clear that a lot of thought and attention went into planning out the process. Overall I've always had a great experience at Garstang Medical Practice but recently it has been fantastic and it really is a testament to the staff that even despite all that's gone on these past two years they're still dedicated to making their patients feel cared for and listened to"
