Friends and Family Test

You are invited to participate in the anonymous 'Friends and Family test', either by SMS by texting 9293 to 07800 001234, or through feedback forms available in reception or you can complete the test online. You are also able to share your experiences on the NHS.uk website. We do ask if you have a complaint to initially please put this in writing to our Practice Management team, to allow us to be able to fairly investigate and respond appropriately.

 

April 2021

91% of patients were either 'extremely likely' or 'likely' to recommend our services. Comments include:

'Because the doctor was excellent and thorough I could tell she genuinely cared.'

'I came for a blood test and was very quickly seen despite the vaccinations also taking place. I have very fine veins and that frequently causes a problem but today it was achieved first time with no pain at all. Thank you.'

'The doctor was very kind and she answered all the questions clearly. She sent the information about the treatments as soon as she left the clinic. She arranged promptly the test required. And she explained everything clearly.'

'Because it was very organised and the nurse practitioner Catherine was great with my son.'

March 2021

'Quite simply I was dealt with on time by a nurse who was very pleasant and answered any questions I asked her. She dealt with me very efficiently. Thank you.'

'I was massively impressed with the well organised military style operation. All staff from meet & greet through to the nurse giving injection were wonderful. What an asset to Garstang & wider community. Thank you very much.'

'From the minute approaching the time of appointment. Assistance was given to everyone from the door: right through the surgery to sitting - cleaning & hygiene measures were in place. One way in & one way out. Ladies & gentlemen polite & friendly. Overall Excellent service.'

'Very Covid safe and the lovely lady who did my smear was so nice. It didn't hurt and she was really friendly. My 20 year old daughter was waiting in the car outside and she asked about it afterwards. She said her friend who had had a smear had said it was a really awful experience and painful. So I've reassured her it's not and how important it is. So experiences like this really do make a difference, thank you for being so professional and kind.'

'Efficient, well organised, safe approach to healthcare delivery clearly taking risk based assessments on how to manage the service into consideration.'

'Quick to respond when patient has a problem and very quick rolling out the anti-Covid vaccinations for my age group. Doctors, nurses and all other staff are polite and have a very friendly manner which helps a lot!'

'Fabulous staff and services. There is always availability of appointments, staff are courteous, listen and are reassuring. I cannot praise the surgery enough for their support in such difficult times.'

'The receptionist was very efficient and courteous. I always find the staff at Garstang Medical practice most compassionate and take time to listen to you. They also have a sense of humour which helps when you are not feeling well and put you at ease.'

'Everyone at the surgery both clinical and non-clinical are excellent. So caring, professional and simply brilliant at what they do. They are working so hard under enormous pressure. I am extremely grateful for all they're doing.'
