Friends and Family Test

You are invited to participate in the anonymous 'Friends and Family test', either by SMS by texting 9293 to 07800 001234, or through feedback forms available in reception or you can complete the test online. You are also able to share your experiences on the NHS.uk website. We do ask if you have a complaint to initially please put this in writing to our Practice Management team, to allow us to be able to fairly investigate and respond appropriately.

 

January 2021

95% of patients were either 'extremely likely' or 'likely' to recommend our services. Comments include:

'Fabulous staff and services. There is always availability of appointments, staff are courteous, listen and are reassuring. I cannot praise the surgery enough for their support in such difficult times.'

'The receptionist was very efficient and courteous. I always find the staff at Garstang Medical practice most compassionate and take time to listen to you. They also have a sense of humour which helps when you are not feeling well and put you at ease.'

'Everyone at the surgery both clinical and non-clinical are excellent. So caring, professional and simply brilliant at what they do. They are working so hard under enormous pressure. I am extremely grateful for all they're doing.'

December 2020

'Very relaxed appointment lovely manner I think Garstang medical practice is excellent at giving its best, nothing is to much trouble fantastic care and staff bring out the kindness in everyone.'

'The response from the GP in person was first rate. Attentive, perceptive, objective, and listened. Consults with you as the patient and provides suggestions and advice (and medication where thought appropriate). I invariably leave his consulting room with confidence and feeling better than I arrived. Credit too to the reception staff who in my experience are generally responsive and friendly in what is currently a very challenging environment.'

'Very friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble. Always prepared to go the extra mile to help, excellent.'

'The way the waiting room has been adapted for social distancing makes for safe environment. The entrance has adequate advice regarding admission and plenty of hand sanitizing throughout the surgery. Furthermore I was seen promptly and the treatment room was clean and I was made to feel safe and comfortable.'

November 2020

'Recently I contracted Covid and I was afforded excellent care and service by all the staff and doctors at the medical centre.'

'All reception staff are lovely and helpful. The GPs have been amazing during phone consultations. I feel very valued and happy to be a patient of this practice.'

'From the Reception staff to the Doctors Nurses etc they are always happy, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for you nothing is too much trouble!'

'I have visited the surgery a couple of times during this pandemic, I felt all precautions were in place and felt very safe, staff were very helpful.'

'Didn't feel rushed through the time. GP was clear and patient answering my questions. I understood my test results and was reassured to know I could return to GP surgery if symptoms returned'.

'Dr was considerate to my feelings and non judgemental. She also resolved several problems I'd been contemplating for some time with straight forward facts and two future appointments. I also was given an appointment the day after my telephone consultation despite it not being an immediate necessity. I've been very very well treated at Garstang and it's restored my appreciation for our healthcare system.'

 

October 2020
